Hello! I am originally from Sunnyside, GA. I graduated in 2011 from Berry College with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics/minor in Secondary Education, completed my Masters degree in Secondary Mathematics Education at Kennesaw State University in 2017, and completed my Educational Specialist in Curriculum & Instruction at KSU in Spring 2020. 

This year, I am teaching AP Calculus, AP Pre-Calculus, and Geometry at Model High School. I also coach football & basketball cheerleading here at MHS. I am very proud and humbled to say that I was named MHS Teacher of the Year in 2017 by the other teachers at MHS. 

I am married to Eric Burton, a 2004 MHS graduate. We welcomed our son, Maxwell, in March 2020 and our daughter Evey in June 2023. In my free time, I enjoy running, reading, and spending time with family & our puppies--Gunnar & Halle!
