I am so glad that your child will be in my class this year. I teach both 6th and 7th grade English Language Arts, so there will be resources on this site for both grades. This is my 7th year teaching, but my first year at Model Middle School! I am so excited for a great year!

Teaching Philosophy

I believe that positive relationships are the foundation of student success, and that instruction should be intentional, relevant, and engaging. 

In my class, we will be actively immersed in text through independent and group reading, discussions, and projects. We will learn to communicate effectively as writers and evaluate the quality of our writing. Most of all, we will learn skills to not only help us in school, but out in the real world as well. AND WE WILL HAVE FUN DOING IT!
