Welcome to Foods!

I am excited that you are taking a Family and Consumer Sciences. This department offers a variety of Food and Nutrition classes, and you will see that there is much to learn and do. I think you will be amazed at all you are able to experience. Chances are, if you talk to your parents or grandparents about their high school Home Economics classes, they still remember valuable lessons and rewarding experiences that they have been able to apply to day-to-day living since then.  Ask and see! 

I am excited to join the Career and Technical Education Department and begin teaching FACS -- classes we used to call Home Ec. 

FACS classes provide wonderful opportunities for me to be able to help you learn about nutrition and wellness and also experience, practice and perfect skills that you will use for the rest of your life, whether you use them at home with your families or in the workplace. It is my hope that this year is a fun, inspirational and enlightening experience for you.
