I grew up attending Floyd County Schools, and I am very excited to be a part of such a great district. I graduated from Shorter College in 2010 with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I then taught first grade in the Henry County School System. My family moved back home, and I taught in Rome City Schools as a third-grade Reading and Writing teacher and as a Literacy Coach. In 2016, I earned my Master's Degree in School Library Media and Instructional Technology and moved into the role of a Media Specialist. I have the best job, being the Media Specialist at the wonderful Armuchee Elementary.
My Husband, Nick Elliott, is also in education. We have three girls. Raelyn is an 8th grader, and we have twin girls, Lola and Mia, who are in 1st grade this year. My family loves exploring the outdoors, traveling, and, of course, I love to read!
My favorite part of my job is taking the love of reading that I had as a reading teacher and getting to share that with all the students at school.
