Best Christmas Gift Ever!
If I could grant someone one wish I would buy Blayze (my best friend) a werewolf and a remote control car. He has always wanted them and it would make him happy. That would be the best Christmas gift ever!
My Favorite Memory
My favorite Christmas memory is Christmas 2021 because it was my last Christmas with my Nanny. I sat in her chair with her and opened the present she got me. It was a Scooby-Doo toy that I asked her for. I gave my Nanny lots of hugs and it was a happy day. I lost my Nanny two weeks later and I miss her very much.
Christmas is My Favorite
Christmas is my favorite time. I help my family put up a tree. Santa comes to visit and leaves us presents. I think he eats lots of cookies so I make him blueberry pie at my house. His deer work really hard taking him places so I leave them food too. I hope they like it.
Jesus is Love
If you’re feeling sad or lonely at the holidays please remember that Jesus knows what you’re going through. Jesus also knows that you might be sad. He doesn’t want you to be sad because Jesus is your family. He loves you, just like I do! Stop and celebrate this Christmas with love.
Home for the Holidays
If I could grant one wish I would let everyone come home for Christmas. To me, Christmas is a time to get together with the people you love and care about. I wish all soldiers, health-care workers, and people in the hospital could spend Christmas at home.
Christmas Presents
For me Christmas means a lot. For me it doesn’t mean opening presents. Christmas means spending time with my family, and giving presents that they have wanted for a long time. It also means being grateful that I have presents from my loved ones. Even if it's not what I wanted for Christmas. I appreciate all of my presents that all of my loved ones gave me, whether it's big or small, even if they can’t afford one. I wouldn’t care as long as they’re there.
The True Meaning of Christmas
This is Christmas to me. It's a time for family and friends. A time for miracles, joy, and happiness. But the real reason for Christmas most people have forgotten is Jesus Christ's birthday. We celebrate the birth of our lord every year on December 25. Most people always go to church on Christmas day. Me and my nanny always go to church for the celebration of Jesus’s birth.
Christmas Traditions
When I was little, my papaw got sick. Some years, he was sick on Christmas. Even though he was sick, he always enjoyed helping others. My papaw always made sure the children in our community had gifts to open on Christmas by donating toys to the Mud Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He was a helpful and caring man. In April 2021, my papaw passed away. Even though he is no longer with us, my Nana still carries on his memory in our little community.
My Eastern Kentucky Christmas Wish
If I could grant one wish for Eastern Kentucky it would be, that no one would have been affected by the flood.I would have chosen this wish because it makes me sad to look and see all of these families' homes, vehicles, etc; destroyed by the flood. I hope everyone that got affected by the flood can celebrate happily during Christmas with their friends and family.
Christmas Wishes for Mom
If I could grant one wish it would be for my mom. On Christmas she delivers packages and mail because she works for the US Postal Service. Me and my family just wish that she could get a day off. She works really hard everyday, and the only time she gets off is on Sundays. Besides that she never gets to come home and spend the holidays with me and my dad, so I just wish she could stay home this Christmas and eat cookies and drink hot cocoa with us.
The Best Gift!
The best gift I have ever received was a hug from my mother and father. Yes, many people think that getting dolls, iPhones or expensive things are more memorable and valuable. I got many things from Christmas but it was worth nothing in my honest opinion, although I did appreciate everything my family and friends gave me but buying stuff isn’t so important. I think that the little things matter more instead of big expensive items. I'd rather have a hug from my parents than anything for Christmas. Remember it’s the small things that matter. Merry Christmas everyone!
Christmas Traditions
I always go to my nanas and poppy's house on Christmas Eve. It's a tradition. We eat a lot of food, talk, and open gifts. I don’t live close to them so I rarely go to their house. My nana makes us stockings every year so once we go home we hang up our stockings, layout the carrots, milk, and cookies for Santa and the reindeer. We would turn on my favorite Christmas movie “The Grinch”.I love this tradition and it makes Christmas so much more fun.
Thank You, God
One gift that I’m so thankful for is God. I am thankful for him because he gave me the opportunity to live. Out of a million, billion, or trillion other people he chose to give me the opportunity of life and to be born into such an amazing family full of extraordinary people. I am very fortunate to have the chance to live.
The Best Gift
When people think of the best present they say “a bike” or “a new game” but today I found the best present of all. On Christmas Eve, all I could think about was the presents under the sparkling Christmas tree. When I woke up that morning to the glistening snow through the window, I jumped up and ran to my mom’s room. I yelled at the top of my lungs, “Wake up!” We went to my brother’s room and shook him til he woke up. We were so excited for the presents, then I ran to the tree. We opened the presents. We were all happy about the presents and hot chocolate. Then my mom gave the best present anyone could ever receive, a hug.
My Christmas Tradition
Every Christmas Eve my mamaw will make this huge feast. We all open up our Christmas presents and see what we got. Every year my great grandpa Papaw Jr. would always come and bring presents, but just him showing up meant the world to me and my brother. As I'm getting older I realize that Christmas isn't just about Santa and the presents. The real gift is spending time with family and thinking of others. The way my family's face lights up because I thought of them means so much to me.
A Word of Confidence
A message I want to give to a person who is working on Christmas is at the end there is always something beautiful. It might be a bad day, but at the end of the day we have a beautiful sunset. What I mean by that is it may not look like it, but if you are helping someone you will get a blessing. It may not seem like it, but it is a blessing in disguise. And who knows, you helping people might give you a better Christmas.
The True Meaning of Christmas
Many people see Christmas as a time of giving and receiving presents, singing carols, and seeing the rainbow lights flicker on Christmas Eve, anxiously awaiting the arrival of Santa. And all that is true, but it isn’t the true meaning of Christmas. Christmas is a time of celebrating and spending time with your family. Presents are nothing compared to the love given to you from your family. It’s also Jesus’s birthday, another thing to celebrate! Christmas isn’t just about presents, but being with loved ones.
The Best Gift I Ever Received
I was 10 years old, waking up early excited for presents thinking of all the kinds my family must have gotten me. As my sister and I opened the presents there was one in the pile that had stuck out to me wrapped in glorious bright red wrapping paper. When I opened it was a doll from a movie I had loved Descendants. My mother told me my late grandmother had gotten it for me, that was and will always be the best gift I’ve ever received.
The Best Gift Ever
Two years ago I found out that my neighbor had cancer and we were very close too and we did not know what was going to happen to him. We did all we could to help him. One day we made him a ramp and when it came Christmas Eve he told us that he would always think of us as good people and would try to help us if he could. We told him not to do anything for us. I would never forget that day that he said that and that would be the best present I ever got.
Not Just a One Day Holiday
When someone is asked what Christmas is they would say a holiday as that is true. However to me Christmas isn’t just one day but a time where my family comes together to decorate our house in bright blinding lights. A time where my sister begs me every night to make her hot chocolate. A time when my siblings and I sat on the couch watching Christmas movies, where one of us spilled their hot coco causing a big mess and plenty of laughter. For most, Christmas is a one day holiday that means a few presents and candy canes, but for me it is a time which means family.
Stirred With Love
One of my favorite Christmas memories is baking delicious deserts with my granny. I remember when I was little, my family and I would always visit her house for the holidays. She would get her special red apron and my sister and I would take turns wearing it. We would make treats like coconut bon bons and peanut butter fudge. I was so small at the time that I had to use a stepping stool in order to see what I was doing. Still to this day, I have her recipe book. Now, I teach my parents how to bake those scrumptious desserts just like my granny had taught me.
The Real Meaning
Do you know the meaning of Christmas? Most people think it's about getting gifts, but it's actually about giving gifts to people you love. Christmas is about giving because God gave his only son to the world to forgive our sins and we respect that by giving gifts to people we love. That's why we celebrate Christmas. And that's the meaning of Christmas, respecting God by giving gifts to people like he gave Jesus to the world.
If I Could Have One Wish
A wish that I want to come true this Christmas is to have my papaw back just once more. To see the smile on his face when he opens his presents, and when mamaw makes his favorite food. He loved Christmas even though when it got hard for him to walk we had to help him to the window so he could see it snowing. He made everyone smile by dancing, singing, and playing around, bugging my little cousin about his toys saying they were his. It would make us laugh and smile all the time.
End the Hate
The one wish I would grant for the world is to end the hate that poisons the best things around us. The world is so divided and split apart. If we just had one time of the year where we could all come together and love each other it's Christmas. The holidays have a way of bringing the best out of all of us and I think if we could spread some of this love the world would be a better place and there would be alot less people suffering.
