My Favorite Christmas Movie
My favorite Christmas movie is The Christmas Chronicles. I really like how Santa sings the Christmas time pretty baby song. I like how Santa takes the kids with him on his sleigh. I think it is funny how the elves stay inside Santa’s sack, and they talk funny. I love this movie and like to watch it every Christmas.
What Christmas Means to Me
What Christmas means to me is Jesus because that’s the day he was born. It means family because that’s when we all get together and spend time with each other. It means presents because I know not everyone is lucky to be able to get gifts. So I’m very lucky.
My Favorite Christmas Tradition
My favorite Christmas tradition is baking cookies with my mom. I love it when I make the chocolate oatmeal cookies. I hate it when they don’t come out right. I love the cookies so much because its my grandma’s recipe. They taste so good and Mom and I make them together. When Mom and I make the cookies, I get in the holiday spirit and I get hungry.
What Christmas Means to Me
To me Christmas means waking up to snow covered trees and grass as soon as I look out the window. And then running through the house to look and see what Santa left me in my stocking. After working up an appetite opening presents, the smell of delicious food seems to float me away to the table. And being with the entire family all day long to celebrate the birthday of Jesus. And lastly the chance for a Christmas miracle. Last year our miracle was my mom surviving surgery with only a 5% chance of surviving.
If I Could Grant One Wish
If I could grant one wish for anyone it would be for the soldiers to come home for Christmas. They miss out on important events that happen in their family because they are fighting for our country. Every day their family worries whether or not their loved one will come home. So I would wish that soldiers could come home for Christmas.
What Christmas Means to Me
I think Christmas means spending time with family and friends.
I think it's a time to rejoice with Jesus’s birthday and sit around the Christmas tree.
I think it’s a time to relax with family and enjoy a meal at the table and talk about how life is going.
I think it’s a time to watch the Christmas lights as we go through the park.
I think it’s a time to stop and just enjoy being with people you love.
That’s what Christmas means to me.
What Christmas Means to Me
I think Christmas is a time of year that you spend with the people you love. To get together and have fun and feel comfortable and be yourself with the people you love. On that note, it’s also about how people think about you over the year to get you something special just for you or people you can share it with. I hope everyone can feel that this year for Christmas!
If I Could Grant One Christmas Wish
If I could grant one wish to my family for Christmas this year it would be for me, my mom and dad, and my brothers would all be together this year. My two brothers moved back to Ohio, which is where I was born and raised. I miss them so much. I just want all of us to be together on Christmas and to have a good meal and open presents together. I want us to sit and talk about all the good times we have had together and remember my grandma and grandpa that have passed away. I just want to enjoy them being with us like they always were on Christmas every year.
What Christmas Means to Me
Christmas means to me that we get to celebrate Jesus' birthday. We also get to open gifts from family. We can see family and friends for the holidays. We can celebrate Santa for giving us gifts if we are kind enough. So when we do, it's not all about the gifts. It’s about celebrating Jesus’ birthday and being with friends and family. So when Christmas comes around, I don’t care about the gifts. I care about spending time with family and friends and getting to celebrate people’s birthdays.
My Favorite Christmas Tradition
My favorite Christmas tradition is adding to my collection of holiday Barbies. Since my first Christmas, my Mamaw Mabel has always had me a holiday Barbie under the tree. I always look forward to adding to my collection. I hope someday to have a little girl of my own and pass my collection to her. I will keep Mamaw's special tradition going.
What Christmas Means to Me
What does Christmas mean to me? When I was younger, Christmas was all about presents and Santa. But now I understand it’s all about Jesus and the day he was born. Christmas is all about celebrating his birthday. It’s also about family, telling stories, making memories, and knowing who made it all possible for us.
A Special Christmas Memory
One of my favorite Christmas memories was during COVID 2020. My Papaw Johnny Hamilton bought me a karaoke machine. My papaw was always reading his bible and singing church songs. He knew how much I loved to sing and he left me a karaoke machine to sing with while he sings with the angels in Heaven.
My Favorite Christmas Memory
One of my favorite memories on Christmas is when my dad rebuilt a birdhouse for my mom. This birdhouse is very important to my mom because it was her grandpas. When I first saw the birdhouse it was not in good shape. My dad took it without her knowing and rebuilt it. That is one of my favorite Christmas memories.
What Christmas Means to Me
Christmas means the birth of Jesus Christ to Mary and Joseph in a town called Bethlehem. Wise Men came to bare gifts to him. We celebrate Christmas by exchanging gifts and we sit by the fire with our pjs on with a warm cup of hot chocolate. Sharing the warm love with our family and friends. Watching a small child open up their gifts and the room fills with bright light their eyes as bright as the sun. The love we have for each other is the same love Jesus gave us. That’s the meaning of Christmas, sharing the love we have for each other.
My Favorite Christmas Memory
One of my favorite Christmas memories is seeing the smiles on my family’s faces as they tore the paper off their gifts. It brought a smile to my face as well, hoping that they liked what they had received, especially a particular family member of mine, my now late grandfather, Eddie Hamilton. We didn’t get him anything expensive but he appreciated what he was given. He’d always have the same grin when it was his turn to unwrap another present of his.
What Christmas Means to Me
To me Christmas means joy, love, and coming together as family, friends, neighbors, or just strangers. Christmas is about showing appreciation for those around you. A kind gesture to a stranger or just a warm smile. Being together or just there for one another, continuing a long-lived tradition or starting a new one.
What Christmas Means to Me
I believe Christmas is a time to set aside differences and to forgive any wrongs or disagreements. I think during Christmas people naturally feel more joyful because the kids are joyful. I think it is a time for laughs, hugs, and loving one another. Christmas should be a time everyone comes together and remembers the good times they have had with one another and not the bad times.
Christmas Family Tradition
Our family tradition for Christmas every year means a lot to me. We all get together and have a big ham dinner with a bunch of desserts on the side. We sing the Christmas carols while we sit around the Christmas tree. After the singing, we open presents from all of my aunts and uncles. But there is one thing that my mamaw makes sure to tell the true meaning of Christmas is our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the reason for the season. That’s our family Christmas tradition.
If I Could Grant One Wish
Have you ever had a Christmas wish? If Christmas wishes were real, I would wish that everyone would be happy and healthy with their families during Christmas. I wish that everyone has at least one person they can spend time with this Christmas. I wish for all the veterans to be able to spend Christmas with their family and be happy.
My Favorite Christmas Memory
My favorite Christmas memory is when my nanny was still healthy and we all sat around and ate food, opened presents and talked about our day. My dad handed out presents and my nanny took pictures and helped us open them. Me and my cousin Christina got a big make up box and we done each others make up. Papaw took us to see the lights at archer park and got us hot chocolate. At the end of the day we made beds in the floor and watched home alone.
What Christmas Means to Me
To me, Christmas means hot chocolate, snowball fights, Christmas candy and a warm fireplace. To me, Christmas means having Christmas dinner and continuing family traditions. It means presents and Santa Claus and watching Christmas movies with the family. Christmas means snow days and spending time with everyone. It means old Christmas stories and the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas really means spending time with the people you love most.
What Christmas Means to Me
Christmas means to spend more time with family and friends. It means sharing and making people happy. It means the remembering of the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Christmas means to cherish every moment with your loved ones and build wonderful memories as you celebrate the holiday. Every house on the block is decorated with fairy lights and pretty decorations. It brings so much joy seeing everyone getting into the Christmas season.
What Christmas Means to Me
What Christmas means to me is to spend quality time with your loved ones and make wonderful memories. My favorite part about Christmas is having dinner with my family and talking about the day we had.
Holiday Poem
To parties and partings,
beginnings and ends -
To brothers and sisters,
and others, and friends -
To seasons, and reasons to share in a smile -
To pausing, and sparing a care for a while -
To choosing a moment
to lose a regret -
To knowing it's time
to forgive and forget -
To sorrows, and better tomorrows today -
To changing your future, and finding a way -
To presents, presented
and bound with a bow -
To warm woolen sweaters
and steps in the snow -
To snowmen and stockings,
and stories anew -
To joy and enjoyment -
To Christmas -
to you.
Christmas, What is It?
Christmas is Jesus. Christmas is family and laughter. Christmas is sitting around the table with your loved ones and just enjoying each other’s company. Christmas is glistening white snow, sledding down a hill on a trash can lid. Christmas is putting up a tree, lifting the baby of the family to put on the topper. Christmas is watching corny holiday movies. Christmas is what you make it.
Christmas in Kentucky
To me, Christmas is appreciating my Eastern Kentucky roots. Christmas in Kentucky means indulging in a big plate of food full of Grandma’s amazing Southern dishes, the perfect amount of snow on the ground in a Kentucky December, the entire community lighting up towns with Christmas lights, and a place so small that no child is left without a gift. Eastern Kentucky hospitality is what makes the holiday season all that it is!
Best Christmas Gift
When I think about the best gift I’ve ever received, I think of the time mu mom got me a teddy bear made from my grandpa’s shirt. Opening that gift brought back so many memories and emotions. Although he is no longer near me, that bear makes me feel close to him. I just know he is looking down watching over me and my family and is very much still with us throughout the tough holiday seasons. This bear is something I will always cherish.
What Christmas Means to Me
Christmas means gathering around loved ones and showing how much they mean to you even if it’s old Uncle Rob. It’s gathering around the Christmas tree and singing Christmas carols forgetting about the dinner you left in the oven. Watching Movies such as Die Hard, Christmas Story, and Polar Express. Eating burnt ham or the dry turkey your grandma made and maybe devouring corn at such an astonishing rate your family will wonder how you’re not full. And that night enjoying the memories you made because it might be the last ones you get.
Christmas is an Amazing Time
Christmas is an amazing time filled with love and cheer. Sitting by enjoying movies by the fireplace. Singing carols by the moonlight. Eating and enjoying your family’s presents. At the end of the night, you get to watch the snow fall as you drink from your eggnog.
For the People that are
Alone on Christmas
This is for the people that are alone on Christmas, specifically for the ones in hospitals. I spent some of my Christmases alone as well in the hospital but you shouldn't focus on the bad. Focus on where you are, you are alive, you got to see the snowfall. For many kids, that’s their Christmas wish. So cherish what you can, because some never get to feel or see this beautiful snowfall we all take for granted. Merry Christmas from one loner to another.
