On Christmas Eve
On Christmas Eve I leave cookies and milk for Santa. I know he is hungry because he delivers toys all around the world. I get so excited on Christmas morning because that’s when I get to see all my new toys. My mom and dad fix pancakes while me and my bubby play. Christmas is my favorite!
My Favorite Gift
My favorite gifts were zoo animals and farm animals from Santa. They are my favorite because I love animals and want to go to the zoo one day.
My Favorite Christmas Memory
My favorite Christmas memory is playing in the snow! I love playing in the snow with my Aunt. We make snowballs and throw them at each other and I usually win! We also build a snowman.
My Favorite Christmas Movie
My family and I watch Home Alone every Christmas. My dad pops popcorn for us. My mom makes hot cocoa too. We love that movie because we watch it together.
If I Could Grant One Christmas Wish
If I could grant one Christmas wish it would be to always have my mom with me. She is a good mom. I wish everyone had a mom as good as her in their life. At Christmas time moms are the ones who help make things look pretty and cook the food.
Cookies for Santa
Every year we bake cookies at Christmas. We put the cookies on a tray for Santa. I always look, Christmas morning to see if Santa has eaten them. This is my favorite Christmas tradition.
My Best Christmas Memory
My best Christmas memory is when my Aunt came in from Tennessee. She got me a Nintendo game. I said, “How am I going to use this?” Then she pulled out a Nintendo Switch. I still remember it to this day! That Christmas was the best Christmas ever!
A Message
A message I have for medical caretakers is “It’s going to be ok. If you think about it you’re making a difference in the world, and making some other family happier.” You help this world spin. Don’t be bummed that you can’t see your family this Christmas. You are helping a lot of people. It doesn’t matter if you're a hospitalist, nurse, nursing home staff, or a surgeon, you matter. I believe in you.
One Wish
If I could grant one wish to the world it would be to cure all people with a sickness. I hate to see kids struggle and go through this. Some kids have cancer and people think about these things. It is really kind of some people to give these kids presents for Christmas because it cheers them up. I love to see kids smile since they have been struggling. I wish that hospitals could cure every patient.
Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child
If I had one wish this Christmas, my wish would be that my sister didn’t have Autism anymore, so that she could walk and talk, and play with me. If she didn’t have Autism, she could get some fresh air! God bless you all and Merry Christmas!
Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child
A message I have for those who may be lonely, sad, or in the hospital on Christmas is if you are lonely, it’s okay. No matter what, someone out there loves you. Maybe your family members or your friends. It doesn’t matter who it is, someone out there loves you. The best gift you can receive is the love of your family or the love of God
My Christmas Message
I have a very important message for those who work during Christmas. Thank you for everything you do. I’m very sorry you cannot celebrate the holidays with your family, but look at the bright side, you’re helping so many people come back to their families safely. That’s the best thing you can do. Bless you and your work.
Snow Falling
Snow falling, the smell of cinnamon trickling down the streets, and in a nearby window kids are opening presents. This is what Christmas is for some people, but for my family, Christmas is a time to honor the ones who have passed. We don’t sit and mourn all day. It’s a time to decorate the graves, leave a vase of flowers or even sit an extra seat at dinner time. Not just any seat, your seat, Pappaw Rick. It’s our time to remember you.
A Message I Have for Someone
A message I have for someone who is sick, sad, lonely or has just lost a loved one is don’t give up and just remember you may not know it but someone is always caring for you.
The Best Gift I Ever Received
Christmas. My favorite holiday. I put on my slippers and run down the steps. To my surprise, I saw a massive gift underneath my Christmas tree. I joyfully ripped open the gift, it was the worst present ever. A note, “Merry Christmas Carli!” Then I looked down at the note to see, “We're going on a cruise.” It was the best Christmas ever! Thank you for this awesome gift, Dad!
To Me, Christmas Means
To me, Christmas means spending time with friends and family. There’s no school for two weeks, which in my opinion is the best part! For Christmas, or people who believe in God, it is Jesus’s birthday. It also means being grateful for what you have. That is what Christmas means to me and my family.
What Christmas Means to Me
Christmas is about caring, and spending time with your loved ones. It is about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. I love getting together with my family and making new memories with them. I love it most when we open presents and pass them around. And at the end of the day, we take the time to sit down and have a good meal together as a family.
A Funny Experience
A funny experience I’ve had on Christmas was when me, my brother and my cousins had gotten stilts. I remember struggling to stand up. My entire family was laughing. We were going to plan a race for a small prize, only using the gifts we received. I will always remember that Christmas Day. Merry Christmas!
Each Year My Mamaw
Each year my mamaw told me the story of how her and her sister made a Christmas tree out of a trash bin. They attached tinsel and small ornaments to it. Her sister, Polly, passed away a while ago but my mamaw still put up the same tree. My mamaw passed away in April and I plan to keep the trash tree tradition alive.
The Best Present
One Christmas eve, my mom gave me a Nintendo DS. It was the best present and even more so now because it is a reminder of her. Even though she passed away, I know she is still with me everyday and every time I play my DS. I love you, Mom.
Christmas in Floyd County
Christmas in Floyd County will be difficult for many this year. Between the flood where many lost their homes or experiencing the tragedy that happened in Allen, Kentucky, it has been a hard year for many individuals. Whether it was you, a family member, or a friend that ended up in one of these situations, know that you are loved and being thought about during this holiday season.
Smokey’s First Christmas
Smokey used to be a stray before I took her in. Last year was Smokey’s first Christmas. She loves the Christmas tree. Smokey thinks that it is all for her. She loves to hide under the tree and jump out at people who walk by. Smokey also likes to knock the ornaments off the tree and play with them.
What Christmas Means to Me
Christmas means that families are back together for the holidays. Families are watching TV while smelling sensational smells from the kitchen. Kids are sitting around the Christmas tree waiting to open presents and playing games. Soldiers are coming home after months of being away from home. That is what Christmas means to me.
The Christmas Meaning
Christmas is a time for thanks and spending time with your family. That is not what Christmas means to me though. It should be a time for giving and not getting, that feeling of happiness, and it spreads around creating joy. When you give something to someone that changes their life you will feel it too. That is my meaning of Christmas.
