Christmas Tree
Small tree.
A small tree blowing in the wind,
So far, yet so close.
Snow covers most of the sight,
Yet my small tree is seen by the fireplace light.
It may look lonely, but it’s not.
It has some friendly lights upon it’s branches.
They glow, smiling with all of their colors.
Even though my small tree isn’t fancy,
It’s my small tree, my small Christmas tree decorated happily.
It doesn’t need to be big or tall, old or new,
It just needs to be here with me, sitting by the fire, Happy, Healthy, Loved.
Family Traditions
Christmas is one of my favorite holidays for many reasons. One reason that I love Christmas is my family’s traditions. We bake cookies, peanut butter candy, chocolate candy, and hot chocolate. Then we all take turns reading a Christmas story to the whole family. After we take part in reading the story, we all sign the back of the book. Finally we dress in our pajamas and lay out cookies and milk for our favorite visitor.
Best Christmas Ever
My favorite Christmas was when I was 6 years old. It was a snowy morning and I woke up at 6 a.m. I was so excited that I was going to get presents. My mom, dad, and my brother were standing in the living room next to the Christmas tree. I rushed to the presents. My brother and I opened our presents. I got a toy truck, a basketball, and a spiderman toy. My brother opened a cool new lego set, a new hat, and a brand new bicycle. That was the best Christmas ever!
Christmas,
the Most Important Holiday
Christmas is one of the most important holidays, but younger children like it because they get lots of presents. It is important because it is when Jesus was born. What I love so much about Christmas is that I get to spend time with my family and make fun, sharable memories. Normally, my mom and my granny work hard making a delicious dinner for me and my uncle that visits from Lexington. On Christmas Eve we travel to my other grandmother’s house and visit with more family that I don’t get to see a lot. Every year I have fun, make tons of memories and get to eat a perfect dinner. I cannot wait for Christmas this year! Even thinking about putting up the Christmas tree after Thanksgiving is so exciting to me.
Christmas Wish
If I could grant one wish for my community for Christmas it would be to give money to the parents that are not able to buy their children gifts for Christmas. While some kids are opening presents around the Christmas tree with their family, some kids don’t have presents to open. After the parents buy their kids their gifts they can use the extra money to pay the bills so they have a home to stay at on Christmas. That is the wish I would grant for my community.
Christmas Memory
My favorite Christmas memory was 2015 when I was 5 years old. It was the last Christmas before my dad passed away. It was a sad year for my family but we all looked forward to Christmas. Christmas was the one holiday where we all got together and spent time with one another. It was like a family tradition. Things will never be the same, but my mamaw always taught me to think about the future. That Christmas was the best Christmas of my life and the most important one to me.
Christmas Message
For anyone out there who might be feeling down, I have something to share with you . When you think things are bad or when you get mad, remind yourself that many people have it worse off than you and that you are fortunate. Just remember positivity is the best medicine that no doctor can prescribe. Life's too short to be sad or lonely, and even a smile may brighten the darkest days of life. So this christmas maybe give a smile to because you never know what their day will bring.
A Special Christmas
A special Christmas that is dear to my heart is when I was a little girl. One Christmas morning I woke up early to a snow that was whiter than white making that Christmas extra special.. I can remember running into the living room seeing a tall Christmas tree with the lights shining bright, and presents wrapped in shiny paper. The smiles on everyone's face seem to light up the room. As mom got out her creamer and dad with the trash bag ready to go, the count down began 1… 2… 3…, the wrapping paper goes flying from left to right with the occasional voices saying, “ SLOW DOWN AND HOLD IT UP SO I CAN SEE,” and the “ GIVE ME THE TRASH NOW.” After everything was done, we gave thanks to our God and ate the nice warm dinner that was waiting.
Christmas To Me
Christmas isn’t about the gifts, or the food. Both of those are great, but Christmas to me means spending time with the ones you love, and celebrating such a special day with them. Sometimes it is hard knowing that there’s so many without these things; it's heartbreaking. I would much rather give to someone in need, rather than worry about myself. The world we live in has suffered so much loss lately, it’s hard to think about myself in times like these. Therefore, to me, Christmas means spending time with the ones I love, and cherishing every moment that I’m given because not everyone is as fortunate as I am.
Christmas, A Most Magical Time Of Year
Christmas is the most magical time of the year, as well as one of the best-loved holidays in the world. Families have many traditions they follow from tree trimming to baking delicious treats. One tradition I have every year is my family and I go to the Christmas tree farm, where my sister and I get to pick out the most perfect tree. When we get home, we search for our 10 year old ornaments and lights for the tree, and we start decorating. Even though decorating trees, baking cookies, and eating delicious foods are some of my favorite things to do around Christmas time, the thing that really makes me love Christmas is that I get to spend time with my family and celebrate Jesus’ birthday.
A Beautiful Time
For me Christmas is a beautiful time. Christmas brings family together and gives people time to love Jesus and wish him a wonderful happy birthday. I feel like Christmas makes the world happy with a bunch of smiles and good feelings. The older I get the more I realize how much Christmas means to people and how special family is. Christmas means more to me than Santa and receiving gifts, it's the feeling of seeing people happy, loving their family and seeing the blessings they have.
True Meaning
Lying in my bed awake on Christmas Eve hearing the snowfall outside
Not wanting to fall asleep from all of the joy and excitement in my body
Finally drifting off
Waking up as soon as I close my weary eyes it seemed
Hopping out of bed full of joy while running down the quiet hallway to the living room
Patiently waiting for my dad to wake up so I could open my presents
Wondering about my friend whose parents were struggling to pay the rent
Being unable to afford him a stocking stuffer
Deciding after my dad came downstairs to invite my friend over
Opening presents together and sharing the true meaning of Christmas
So we both could have a joyful Christmas.
