Zoie Graff, a senior at Flour Bluff High School whose passion for art and creativity shines through in everything she does. Since joining the school in her second semester of freshman year, Graff has made an indelible mark, especially in her favorite subject, art.
“The teachers are really nice, and I’m able to pursue doing art,” said Graff, reflecting her positive experience and the supportive environment that Flour Bluff provides for aspiring artists.
Graff’s involvement extends beyond the classroom. She has been a dedicated member of the National Art Honor Society since her junior year. One of her most memorable moments occured during a major UIL competition in sophomore year.
“Everyone that I had become friends with, we all medaled, and it was genuinely one of the happiest moments,” Graff said.
Graff excels in both math and art. One bringing her a sense of accomplishment, and the other a sense of self expression.
“Math comes really easily to me, and art allows me to express myself,” Graff said.
Her mentors, Mrs. Lovin and Mrs. Litchenburger, have played pivotal roles in her growth, offering constructive criticism that pushes her to improve and refine her craft. Their mentorship alongside her dedication have helped her achieve several honors, including placing third in a breast cancer awareness contest,and earning medals at VASE art competitions.
Outside of school, Graff enjoys cooking and baking—often making treats to share with others.
“I like to bring gifts to people,” Graff said, smiling as she described the joy of giving homemade treats to others.
Looking ahead, Graff dreams of turning her artistic talents into a career.
“I want to sell some of my pieces or even have them displayed in a museum.” Graff said.
With her passion, talent, and drive, Zoie Graff’s future in art is promising, and her journey at Flour Bluff High School has undoubtedly shaped her into a confident, creative individual ready to face new challenges.
