Senior Romina González Adame has spent the last three years making her mark at Flour Bluff High School through her active involvement in many clubs and organizations. A dedicated leader, González Adame is a member of clubs such as Business Professionals of America (BPA), Student Council, Chick-Fil-A Leadership, and Interact Club.
Among her many experiences at Flour Bluff, González Adame shared that her connections with staff members have played a big role in shaping her high school journey.
“I love Mr. Martinez. He was my freshman English teacher and I still talk to him today,” González Adame said. “The way he communicates with students and really gets us to learn, and the way he puts in effort to learn about each student makes him my favorite.”
When asked about her favorite traits about herself, González Adame didn’t hesitate.
“I’ve been told I’m very bubbly, very energetic, and I’m very friendly,” González Adame said.
While González Adame is a very involved student, her favorite part of participating in extracurriculars are the competitions she takes part in.
“I really love Student Council competitions,” González Adame said. “We went to competition and State and went to Six Flags.”
Through her involvement, González Adame has learned important life skills that she plans to carry on beyond these clubs.
“If [extra curricular involvement] has taught me leadership roles and how to take on different challenges.”
Her peers have noted her leadership skills, fellow senior Willoe Phillips spoke about her experience with Gonzalez’s impact on the school community.
“She has really good leadership skills and is great at keeping everyone on task. She is a big addition to this school and plays a lot of major roles.” Phillips said.
Looking ahead, González Adame aspires to continue helping others as she pursues a career in the medical field. After high school graduation, she plans to become a nurse.
“I love my Nursing class because I love helping people and figuring out solutions to problems,” Gonzalez said.
With her enthusiasm, leadership, and compassion, Romina Gonzalez has left a lasting impression at Flour Bluff, and she’s only just getting started. After high school, Gonzalez hopes to get her masters degree at either Tarolton State University or Hardin Simmons University for a major in Pediatric Nursing.
