“My favorite teacher right now and throughout high school has been Ms. Smith,” . Johnson said.
Ms. Smith had a big impact on his life, and he can always talk to her when he needs to. Smith always finds new ways to teach her students and gets them involved during class.

His final season of basketball is described as bittersweet. He is excited to play his final season in school, but does not want to end at the time.
As a naturally competitive person, there is no doubt that the season will be meaningful.
"Baseball and basketball [are] competitive in nature and I'm a competitive person so I like to compete and win," Johnson said.
He has faith in his team to advance to the playoffs, understanding what he needs to do to achieve his goals and the team’s collective goals. “I have high expectations to make the district championship and hopefully win and advance into the first round of playoffs,” Johnson said. Jay’s favorite teacher may be Ms. Smith, but his favorite class at this moment is Government. Already being in the BPA club, Government helps Jay with subjects which can benefit him throughout college.
“Right now it's probably government”, with “Coach Vesely” said Johnson.
He wants to finish this semester with a solid start to basketball and carry it into the next.
By the end of the year, Johnson will be ready for college and have his eyes set on what school he is accepted to.
