Senior Tucker Jones has been attending Flour Bluff HS since his Freshman year. In regards to his high school experience, Tucker said, “The first day of school is a fashion show, the rest is a pajama day.”
Jones particularly enjoys listening to the bands Foo Fighters, Deftones, and Grateful Dead. His favorite movie is "Wanted".
He enjoys going to the beach and traveling the world. His travels have extended as far from Alaska to New Mexico, Honduras and many other states.
On his trip to Honduras, Jones said, “It’s a different lifestyle over there and everyone is so nice and appreciative. It was a nice change of pace compared to the states.” He even got to see monkeys and sloths. During his trip to Cozumel, Mexico, he visited coral reefs, where he swam and explored the vibrant marine life. He then traveled to Costa de Maya, Yucatan, where he was able to see Mayan temples. Concerning the food, Jones said, “I definitely got to try some crazy food that you can’t find over here in the states.”
At Flour Bluff High School, Jones is a first year yearbook photographer. He said that he has learned how to work editing softwares and how to use a camera properly. Outside of high school, Jones works at Whataburger.
Jones plans on going to college and then joining the United States Navy as an officer. He is determined to become a pilot. He has not yet decided which college he wants to attend, yet he is still focused on finding a path that aligns with his goals.
With his ambition to become a pilot, his love for traveling the world, and his creativity, Tucker Jones is sure to make a significant impact in whatever path he chooses to take.
