Tri-Athlete Margaret Croft is a senior at Flour Bluff High School. She has been involved in three varsity sports all throughout highschool. Her love for each sport started when she was only 9 years old.
Throughout her high school years, she has been a key player on the three varsity sports she competes with: Basketball, Volleyball, and Track. While maintaining her busy schedule, she has kept her spot in the top 6% of her graduating class.
“The best way I have found to balance my school and sports is to make sure I set a time for my school work,” Croft said. “No matter how busy I am, I make myself create a time where I cannot do anything but homework or studying.”
When she has free time, she spends it with her friends and family. She enjoys cooking, baking, running, swimming, lifting weights, and relaxing at the beach. When asked about her favorite activity to do at the beach, Croft stated “I like to play spikeball with my friends and participate in tournaments.”
Interesting fact about Margaret is that when she was 2 years old, she broke her foot after she fell into a golf cart peddle and ran into a tree.

Margaret has been described as a kind and caring person all her life by friends and family.“I would say how I treat the people I care about. I do consider myself a kind and caring person,” Croft said.
Croft’s biggest inspiration is her mother because of her dedicated and caring personality. “No matter what hard times she endured, she never stopped providing and having a strong front for all her kids,” she said,“She is a very empowering person!”
After high school, Croft has committed to play NCAA Division I Volleyball at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She will be majoring in Kinesiology and is aiming to become a personal trainer or a volleyball coach. “I’ve been a part of athletic environments my whole life, I’ve always been influenced and encouraged to coach outside of school by my parents”.
Her experience at Flour Bluff High School was described as memorable. She mentioned her favorite part of her extracurricular activities was during her freshman year when she played McAllen High School in the second round playoff game and she beat them in 5. She stated it was the “most insane and competitive game I’ve ever played during high school!”
