Meet Cindy Holder, our Hornet Learning Academy and Student Discipline and Guidance Center (HLA and SDGC) Director.
Holder is not just an essential part of the Flour Bluff community; she’s a passionate advocate for education. As the Director of HLA and SDGC, she plays a crucial role in shaping the future of Flour Bluff students.
She is also a dedicated animal lover and outside of her professional life, she fosters chihuahuas and finds joy in providing them loving homes.
In addition, she has a passion for nature whether it’s enjoying water sports, relaxing by the lake or taking part in beach outings with her family. If she isn’t outdoors her other hobbies include, “Arts and crafts [for] relieving stress,” Holder said.
For her family life, she is married and a proud mother of two graduates from Flour Bluff High School. She's a grandmother to a 3 year old granddaughter and two grandsons, aged 1 and 4. Her family is her world and she spends most of her time with them.
She takes a special interest in anything surrounding education. As a pro teacher and pro education advocate, “I am always concerned for the future of students and for my grandkids. I am always watching what is going on in Texas and making sure that our voices are heard,” said Holder.
Being the director of two institutes in Flour Bluff ISD matches with her dedication for the students in this community to succeed. She is dedicated to helping our Flour Bluff students succeed. “I want to see each and every one of them be successful and live there life to the fullest,” said Holder. Her efforts are driven by a genuine desire to make a positive difference and impact on many students’ lives. Mrs. Holder has an unwavering commitment and passion for our community, and has truly made a difference.
