Class Overview:
We will be reading Freak the Mighty, poetry, nonfiction text, informative articles, short stories, Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie, and the play version of "The Christmas Carol". We will also be writing short constructed and extended constructed responses. I look forward to an awesome year!

About me...
Hello Hornets! I am super excited about my fourth year at FB Junior High. I am looking forward to getting to know every one of you.
This is my nineteenth year of teaching Reading Language Arts. In the past, in Frisco ISD (Frisco, TX), I taught Gifted and Talented Integrated Language Arts, On-Level and Pre-AP Reading, and On-Level and Pre-AP English in the 6th, 7th, & 8th grades. I also taught English (Special Education Inclusion) at Moriarty High School (Moriarty-Edgewood SD) in Moriarty, NM for one year.
My college years were spent at Del Mar College in Corpus Christi for one year and at Texas State University (Southwest Texas State) for three years. I was also a part of Greek life; I am a Delta Gamma!
I grew up in Corpus Christi, and after living in North Texas and New Mexico, my husband and I have recently moved back to the area to be near family. I am honored to be a part of the Flour Bluff community and Hornet family.
