Brian Hussey
Brian has been the senior judge at Flinders Motoring Heritage since the events’ inception in 2016.
Brian brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the task of judging the very special cars exhibited at the Flinders Motoring Heritage event, for which Awards are keenly contested in several categories – including vintage and veteran cars.
A lifetime fascination of cars was an adjunct to a qualification in micro mechanics. His interest in car restoration was supported whilst conducting his horticultural business and introducing salad mixes to the world.
Old veteran, vintage, and classic (PVT) cars have been a keen focus. Brian has restored from the ground up three WO Bentleys to full Le Mans specifications and many other veteran and vintage cars to concours d ’elegance wins. He has also competed in many speed events with supercharged Austin Sevens, as well as other marques.
Amongst his many roles, Brian has served as:
Specialist judge at Motor Classica.
Chief judge for Vision Australia Concours d’elegance events.
Head Scrutineer for the Veteran Car Club Australia (Victoria) and responsibility for setting Safety and Scrutineer Policy for the Club.
Associate of International Chief Judge Advisory Group.
Brian has over 50 years of judging experience. Member organizations include the International Federation of Veteran, Vintage and Classic Car Clubs as well as:
