The Measures of Quality is a local accountability system developed by stakeholders. The Measures of Quality allows Fleming County Schools to share, through a holistic view, with all stakeholders that FCS is creating a distinctive learning environment that will lead to distinctive learning outcomes for students.
Measures of Quality is a measure of quality within the school district. Specifically, it’s a measure of growth while also identifying opportunities for improvement in all four strategic areas: Teaching and Learning, Leadership and Accountability, Operations and Support Systems, and Culture, Community, and Community.
What is so powerful about the Measures of Quality is that we measure what matters most to students, while also tracking operational data that is important to the community. The MOQs provide a monthly analysis of strategic focus areas that require a high level of accountability at the district level. Instead of waiting until test scores are released in October each fall, the MOQs provide a real-time report card each month.
The purpose of the Measures of Quality is to help the district to become a District of Distinction. Our vision is aspirational and the MOQs help school and district leaders as well as stakeholders to track the district’s progress. Furthermore, the MOQs challenge the district to constantly grow and improve with the goal of creating distinctive learning opportunities and outcomes for students.
