This course introduces students to a range of printmaking processes including linoleum and wood-block prints, dry-point etching, silkscreens, monoprints, gelli-prints and incorporating mixed media techniques. Students explore and grow in knowledge of color theory, drawing skill, design, and composition. Printmakers incorporate both historical tradition and technological innovation into dynamic and constantly evolving works of art that break new aesthetic ground and drive the future of the medium. A blend of physical hands-on technicality with drawing & design sensibility.
