In today’s world, communication between different areas of the globe is becoming easier, but at the same time we realise that our students need to be prepared to confront diversity, know that differences do exist, and learn to find common ground between contrasting cultures and peoples. Jesuites Sarrià - Sant Ignasi as a Jesuit-inspired center for higher education, has a mission to provide first-class training and education in order to offer top quality service in the different professional areas: Hospitality and Tourism, Film & Media, Sports Management, Social Studies and Marketing & Business.
Located in a catalogued modernist style building designed in 1895 by the architect Joan Martorell, Higher Education programmes have been taught in Sant Ignasi since 1987 / 1988. We offer a solid portfolio of training programmes that are characterized by their quality, their international nature and their distinct orientation to the comprehensive development of professional and human competencies.
As part of our strategy, and as one of the pillars of our college, Internationalisation is one of our main objectives. We are a Catalan school open to society and to the world.
Our main aim is to open new horizons for our students, by training them as open–minded people who will be able to live in other cultural contexts as competent professionals capable of confronting the demands of their profession and adapting to the dynamics of their specific field. To this end, we have built up a network of international contacts as a fundamental element of the education we offer.
We stress the importance of cross-cultural exchanges, collaboration, and partnership cultivating language learning along with social, cultural, service oriented, and academic opportunities across the partner’s schools. International initiatives allow not only fruitful exchanges between schools, but also provide a unique opportunity for our students to get used to other ways of living, giving them ¨an education across borders¨.
