Women's Sports Representation in Children's Literature

Abstract:
As a future educator and Women's sports enthusiast I was able to bring my passion for both together to create this project. Embedded in my research is a prototype of a book I created for Dr. Covino's Children's Literature class. Through my research I found what I had assumed to be correct. Women's sports are largely underrepresented in what is available to children for literature. In my project I dive deeper to look at the importance of representation and diversity in literature for all children.
