It’s Valentine’s Day, he asks to talk,
And begins to walk closer to me.
I try to hide it by subsiding in the fear and darkness in my head
‘It’s Valentine’s Day’ I think, ‘he won’t stay.’
But closer, he comes and yet I’m still naïve
To the fact that he will leave
me alone for just today.
For it is Valentine’s Day.
But today is just like any other,
And I prepare for the worst.
Sincerity I lack but the truth I can see,
he is beneath me.
But it’s Valentine's Day so like always I stay
Hoping one day to be taken away.
