IEP– Individual Education Plan:
A written plan required for a student who is being provided special education services, it is updated annually and is developed by the ARD.
Accommodations:
Change HOW a student receives information or demonstrates learning.
LRE– Least Restrictive Environment:
Students are entitled to an education that occurs in the LRE appropriate to their needs.
ARD– Admission, Review, & Dismissal:
The committee and process responsible for making the educational decisions and developing the IEP for all students receiving special education services.
Modifications:
Change WHAT a student is expected to learn and/or demonstrate.
BIP– Behavioral Intervention Plan:
Is developed to address student behavior problems as a result of the functional behavior assessment.
