FIS hosted the seventh FISMUN event at the FISO campus in collaboration with our FIS MUN executive student board and other schools on 2-3 March. This year, for the first time, our FISW students have been involved with MUN learning around all things related to debating protocols, global issues, and how to build strong policy statements that work to promote dialogue, collaboration, conflict resolution and peace agreements.

In February 2023, the FISW community wrapped up a 6 week deep dive into poetry, from First Steps classroom through to Grade 8 with a powerful 3 day author-in-residence with former US Young People's Poet Laureate, Naomi Shiab Nye.

During a faculty meeting, Emily ran a virtual session for faculty and staff on gender inclusivity and was able to answer questions and provide additional guidance.
