Meet Mrs. Spiers

This is my seventh year teaching at Filer Elementary and I have loved every minute. I am passionate about teaching children to read and to love learning. I absolutely love my kids and I love my kindergarten families. It's an incredibly rewarding job and I feel very grateful to have the opportunity to teach these amazing children every day. 

My family and I have lived in Filer for just six and a half years. I grew up in Utah but I have been an Idaho resident for the last 18 years. My family is my world. I have been married for 22 years and I have three children. 

I received my bachelors and masters degrees from Weber State University. I am a lifelong learner and my education is never ending. My learning continues in my kindergarten class where the kids teach me something new every day. 

Some of my favorite things to do include reading, playing the piano, cleaning and organizing (it's true), giving parties, gardening, being outdoors hiking, and traveling with my family.
