About Me

Hello Wildcat Family! I would like to share a little bit about myself. I'm looking forward to a great year even though it will have it's challenges during this pandemic. However, with constructive collaboration with you and your child, we will have an amazing and memorable year.

I am a father of two headstrong boys, and am lucky enough to have brilliant, inspiring, beautiful wife. Family and friends are my life and look forward to spending time with them. My hobbies include anything that you can do outdoors. I would go camping and fishing for the rest of my life if I could.

I was born and raised in Filer and currently live here still. I graduated from Filer High School in 1997, which happened to be when the "new" High School opened it's doors. Before then, the High School was what is now the Middle School. I'm not going to lie, it's a little weird teaching in the same school I went to High School in as a Freshman-Junior. I can still tell you who taught in those classrooms during that time. Once I graduated High School, I attended Montana Western, CSI, and graduating from the University of IDAHO! Go Vandals! I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education K-8. My first teaching job was at Kimberly Elementary in 2004-2005, where I had the privilege of instructing 1st graders. If any of you know me, I'm just as shocked. I joined the Twin Falls School District in 2005 and remained there until 2017. During this time I taught 5th grade at Bickel Elementary, 6th-8th ELA at Robert Stuart Junior High, and was Robert Stuarts Athletic Director from 2008-2017. During this time I also coached football as well as girls and boys basketball at both Robert Stuart and Canyon Ridge High School. I joined the Wildcat Family in 2017 and am currently teaching Composition Literature for the 8th grade as well as Fishing 101. I am currently the Filer Middle School Athletic Director, 7th and 8th grade football coach. In addition, I coach JV Baseball for the High School.
