About Me

I have taught English for eighteen years, and I have been at Filer High School for the past nine years. While I have taught creative writing and senior English, the courses I currently teach are freshmen and sophomore English. I thoroughly enjoy the students at Filer High School, and I love working with my amazing colleagues!

I also enjoy coaching our talented student body. I coached soccer for twelve seasons and am the assistant coach for the Filer Speech Team. I am consistently in awe of our student competitors and love the teamwork, dedication, and positivity that extracurricular activities and athletics bring.

During the summer, I enjoy working at the College of Southern Idaho Challenge Course, where the shift is from traditional education to experiential education. I also enjoy taking advantage of Idaho's beautiful recreational areas and fly fishing in the many rivers and streams around the Magic Valley and beyond.
