Lyndsey grew up in Fairfield and Kimberly, Idaho.

She played college volleyball at Treasure Valley Community College in Oregon. She has a A.A. General Studies from TVCC, a B.S. from Idaho State University in Health Education, and a Teacher Certification for Family and Consumer Science from Moreland University  (Teach-Now Graduate School of Education). She is certified to teach Family and Consumer Science 6-12 in Idaho and Hawaii.

Her husband Rob Anderson teaches Forensic Science and Outdoor Skills and coaches Football, Basketball, and Track at Filer High School. They have 5 children (4 boys and 1 girl): Teagan, Cougar, Pinager, Knox, and Waitlee.

Lyndsey is the Family and Consumer Science teacher and the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) Adviser.  Lyndsey also teaches one dual enrollment class with the College of Southern Idaho: WELLNESS 102 Wellness Through Food and Fitness. She is a member of IFCS, CTEI, ACTE, NATFCS, AAFACS, IDAFCS, and PNACAC.

Her top three favorite classes are Career and Personal Development, Wellness, and Textiles. Career and Personal Development because she loves helping students prepare for their career and college adventures. Textiles because of all the fun hands-on projects.  Wellness because she likes helping students learn about healthy lifestyle choices.

The top two favorite things that she loves about FCCLA is seeing the chapter members excel at their projects and attending State and Nationals with her chapter members; they make some great memories!

In her free time she loves to do family history work, attend the temple, go on walks, do workouts, lay in the sun, and attend all of her children's events.
