Elementary Band

• Students at KMS begin learning their instruments in 5th grade and continue learning those skills at the elementary school in 6th grade. 

• Before school begins for the year, 5th grades come to beginning band camp in mid-August to begin the process of learning their instrument. Mr. Sikkink will set up this schedule towards the end of the previous school year. 

• Mr. Sikkink meets with all 5th and 6th grade band students once a week for individual or small group lessons during the school year. 

• 5th grade group band rehearsal is every Wednesday from 8:30-9:15am. 

• 6th grade group band rehearsal is every Wednesday from 9:15-10:00am.

• The elementary school hosts a few concerts throughout the year! Our first set of concerts are during the holidays on December 9th and 10th. We also have our end of the year concert on May 5th and 6th.

• We hope you come out to watch our elementary students perform this year!
