At Tom McCall, we’re fortunate to have three amazing school counselors who are dedicated to supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. Each student is assigned a counselor based on their class and building, and they will stay with the same counselor for both 5th and 6th grade. This helps build strong, lasting relationships and ensures continuity of care as students grow and transition.
Our counselors play a vital role in helping students feel connected—to their peers, to trusted adults, and to the broader school community. They also visit classrooms every other week to provide engaging guidance lessons that support positive relationships, emotional regulation, responsible decision-making, and more.
In addition, our counselors provide thoughtful, age-appropriate support as students transition into upper elementary school. They help students build confidence, adjust to new routines, and navigate the growing independence that comes with 5th and 6th grade.
We are proud to offer this consistent and caring support to all our students and look forward to a great year ahead!
