Title I Overview
What is Title I?
Title I is a funding source from the Every Student Succeeds Act.
It provides money to states and school districts to support students who are considered educationally at-risk. In Texas, the Texas Education Agency uses the following criteria: http://ritter.tea.state.tx.us/peims/standards/1314/e0919.html
Schools can use the Title I funds to help students reach grade level performance and be successful. At the high school level, this means keeping students on track to graduate with their Cohort of students and complete their degree plan within 4 academic years.
