FTC 14415: Ball Lightning
FTC 14415 (Ferris Robotics: Ball Lightning) was launched in the 2018/2019 contest season with the Rover Ruckus game. The team is a “club team” meeting during lunch, after-school, and on weekends.
The team was originally formed to allow students who participated on the Ferris Junior High FTC 12650 team the opportunity to continue participation in FIRST without being enrolled in Robotics 1, which is a minimum 10th grade course due to the prerequisites of either AP Computer Science Principles or Principles of Applied Engineering. It will also allow students who have completed Robotics 2 the opportunity to continue participation in FIRST as well.
The team is currently in planning for the upcoming season. Check back for more details after the season kickoff and game reveal in early September.
This team had a strong start in the regular season, but “stalled” around the third league meet. They showed well at the El Dorado League Tournament, but did not finish strong enough to advance.
