G.E.D: The Tests of General Educational Development

WHAT ARE THE GED TESTS?

GED (General Educational Development) Tests provide individuals 17 or older who did not finish high school an opportunity to earn a GED diploma.

The GED® test has been updated to make sure it measures what graduating high school seniors know and what colleges and employers will expect of you.

The GED has four parts:

  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • Reasoning Through Language Arts
  • Mathematical Reasoning
    • Offered on computer (paper available for accommodations only)
    • English and Spanish

Free GED tests in Minnesota - The first test in each subject area is currently free for Minnesota residents. Hurry in to the Fergus Falls ABE office to find out the details. This opportunity won't last much longer!
