Below is information about school and county performance goals and how you can help your child reach them.


Goals

Quarterly Benchmark Assessment

Each quarter, students take a test that measures what they know about the topics they have learned that quarter. The county goal is for students to score at least 70% on this assessment.

Fact Assessment

Each quarter, students are given a timed test in which they have 3 minutes to solve 50 basic multiplication (up to the 10s) and 3 minutes to solve 50 division problems (also up to the 10s)

Problem Solving

Problem solving is a foundational skill. While a classroom of students may solve the same problem in a variety of ways, they should all use good before, during, and after problem solving behaviors. XtraMath is a quick, online program that, if used regularly, can help students master their multiplication and division facts.

Ten Marks

Ten Marks is an online program that gives students practice with Common Core-aligned math problems that match the rigor of those found on the PARCC assessment . The program tracks students' progress, gives them immediate feedback, and offers video support for skills with which they struggle. Students can also maintain skills through Ten Marks Jam Sessions.
