If it takes longer than 40 minutes to complete homework, or if your child has trouble with the questions, I am happy to help the next day!
Each evening (M-Th) scholars should complete:
at least 20 minutes of reading--any book of their choice.

the math problems on the homework calendar.
- Each month. students will receive a physical copy of the calendar. They will glue this into their math journal where they should date their entry and show all calculations. Here is a link to a digital copy of the homework. It is also posted below.
Optional Challenge Problems
Need an extra challenge for homework?
Scholars should:
Choose 1 or 2 problems to complete from one of the sites below, preferably from 4th grade or above.
Copy the original problem into their journal or print it out so I can see what they chose.
Show calculations in their math journal.
Show me their extra work in the morning for a special treat!
PARCC Practice Test
I highly recommend this resource, as it will help students prepare for the PARCC assessment coming in May. Click on 4th grade (or any of the others!), then choose any of the computer-based unit tests. Scroll through the test and choose a problem to solve that delivers the challenge you need!
