We Welcome, Affirm, and Love.
About Us
First Christian Church Puyallup
Welcome Statement
At First Christian Church Puyallup, we know that being the church means choosing a life in a welcoming community where it can be messy and beautiful all at once, and committing ourselves to breaking down walls to create a space where all are loved.
Because of God’s unconditional love, we welcome persons of all gender expressions and sexual identities. We recognize the family you create, and celebrate the many human attributes that have historically divided us: race, ethnicity, nationality, age, economic status, marital status, education and physical or mental ability.
Whether your belief is strong, wavering, or non-existent, we love and respect you for who you are. You are welcome at the Table of Christ and to the full life and leadership of the congregation.
We affirm that all people are created in the image of God and as beloved children of God are embraced in God’s love. Because God welcomes, affirms and loves, we are called to welcome, affirm and love.
Welcome!
Sunday Worship is at 10:30 am both in-person and livestreamed on Youtube. COVID policies change with the CDC county tracker. We are currently in GREEN so we honor one another's masking and distancing choices. First Christian Church Puyallup is a church that welcomes, affirms, and loves you for who you are. We focus on providing an inclusive and supportive community to those around us, and we strive to be a progressive church that offers a safe and welcoming space for all. We are passionate about spreading God's love through getting to know our neighbors and serving the community. The Basics
Worship
We work to make worship inclusive, accessible, and engaging. Communion is at the center of our beliefs. We take communion every Sunday and fully affirm that all are welcome at the Table. Most people dress comfortable for worship. "Business Casual" is about as formal as we get. During worship the young people have an opportunity to go and worship in their own sacred space. The Way of the Child helps children explore spiritual practices that help them connect with God. All of our Way of the Child leaders have had a background check and child safety training.
