Applications for all categories of FCCPS employment are accepted via online application only.

Your application, resume or cover letter must include names of (3) professional references.

Please provide a phone number and email address for each reference provided.

Administrative/Management (Includes principals, assistant principals, directors and all managerial positions)

  • Letter of Interest/Cover Letter
  • Resume
  • Copy of current Virginia administrative licensure. (If you do not already hold a Virginia license, please be sure to upload all your official transcripts and any out-of-state license. Your credentials must be reviewed prior to FCCPS making any job offer.)
  • Copies of all transcripts (undergraduate, graduate and doctorate)


Certified /Instructional (all teachers, instructional specialists, instructional coaches, counselors, school psychologists, social workers)

  • Letter of Interest/Cover Letter
  • Resume
  • Copy of current Virginia teacher licensure. (If you do not already hold a Virginia teaching license, please be sure to upload all your official transcripts and any out-of-state teaching license. Your credentials must be reviewed prior to FCCPS making any job offer.)
  • Copies of all transcripts (undergraduate, graduate and doctorate)
  • Professional Teacher Assessment Scores: Applicants with fewer than two years of full time teaching experience must submit scores.


Support/Classified (paraprofessionals, transportation, food service, day care, maintenance, custodial, secretarial, support specialist, etc)

  • Letter of Interest/Cover Letter
  • Work History to include dates of employment
  • Proof of highest completed education. Minimum requirement for most positions is a HS diploma or GED.
  • If the position that you are applying for requires a license or certificate, proof of this documentation must be provided.


Substitute/Temporary/Volunteer (substitutes, volunteers, student teachers, coaches, and temporary positions.

  • A completed online application
  • Proof of highest completed education. Minimum requirement for most positions is a HS diploma
  • Work History to include dates of employment
