The Maintenance Department is responsible for routine preventive and corrective building and grounds maintenance services, facilities infrastructure repair and replacement, and energy conservation in the design and operation of FCCPS facilities. Maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and structural equipment and systems is provided by technicians located in one centralized Maintenance Office located on the campus of George Mason High School.
On average our Maintenance Team responds to approximately 1,200 Work Orders per year that are submitted online by Staff. This is in addition to Preventative Maintenance services for our major systems such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, and Roofing.
The Custodial Services Department's goal is to provide a healthy, clean environment for all Students, Staff, Community Members and Visitors. We clean approximately 580,000 sq ft of classroom, restroom, athletics and office spaces in our daily routines. During student breaks and summer staff focus on detailed cleaning of all spaces to include: floor waxing, gym floor sanding/refinishing and carpet cleaning.
The Security Services Department consists of contracted staff located in all schools. Their daily responsibilities are to sign-in all visitors, monitor security cameras, ensure doors are secure and assist Administration with any security related matter.
Construction Services consists of a team of Central Office and School-Based Administrators that oversee current and future school construction and renovation projects. This includes Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and minor improvements / facility modifications to include the installation modular trailer classrooms.
The community's ability to use our school facilities is a core belief within FCCPS. We are a tax payer funded organization and will always strive to ensure our buildings are open to All Community Members.
