Cornell Notes

The Cornell method makes it easy to organize your notes and save time reviewing them. The method also encourages you to write questions at the end of each lesson to test yourself when reviewing. Taking notes strengthens memory traces and increases the likelihood  of the information being cemented in long-term memory. Several studies have found that students who had hand written their notes learned more than those who typed or used someone else's.

How do I make Cornell Notes?

All actual notes from the lesson go into the main note-taking column. The smaller column on the left side is for keywords and questions, you can think of this section for recording hints and prompts about the material, and an outline that helps you pinpoint where you’ve recorded each bit of information. At the bottom of the page, write a brief summary of the content on the page.
