School Psychology
School psychologists provide a variety of educational supports and services for primary and secondary students within the public school system.
Some examples of school psychology services include:
Training for staff and parents on topics related to children's learning, social emotional development and ways that school and families can provide appropriate guidance and support
Development and implementation of programs to support school safety and positive school climate
Behavioral consultation
Student counseling and guidance
Participation in Student Success Teams and the development of pre-referral interventions
Psychoeducational assessment and collaboration with teams in developing Individual Education Plans (IEP) and 504 Accommodation Plans
Referrals to community support agencies/services
Crisis response and threat assessment
