In the context of privacy legislation, transparency assumes a decisive role, ensuring the right of the data subjects to control their personal data and sanctioning the duty of each Data Controller to provide information related to the appropriate processing of such data. FBK - in its capacity as Data Controller - is required to provide - for all personal data processed in the context of scientific research and administration activities, clear, concise and easy to understand informed consent documents.

Pursuant to the GDPR, all informed consent documents must contain the following information:

• the Data Controller and the DPO contact details;

• the purposes of the processing;

• the categories of the data processed

• the legal Basis of Data Processing;

• the nature of data provision;

• the processing methods;

• the existence of an automated decision-making process, including profiling;

• the categories of recipients of the data;

• the data retention period;

• the rights of the data subjects
