Once a Warrior, Always a Warrior
It’s so hard to believe that fall is in the air! Thank you for supporting us with a strong start to the school year and encouraging regular attendance!
Academic Priorities for the Year
Our team is committed to ensuring a high quality, equitable learning experience for your student! To help us with this, we have established two instructional priorities for this school year:
Ensuring that questions and tasks in class focus on academic vocabulary, phrases and sentences within text.
Ensuring that lessons intentionally target the aspect(s) of rigor (conceptual understanding, procedural skill and fluency, and application) called for by the standard(s) being addressed.

One of the most rewarding aspects of volunteering at Winburn Middle School is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of the students. Whether it is to assist in a classroom, participate in extracurricular activities, or offer guidance and mentorship, every moment spent with students is a chance to inspire and empower them.
We are seeking individuals or groups interested in pouring into our school and into the lives of our students. The first step to volunteer is to complete a Volunteer Application and a FCPS Background Check! Please call us if you need assistance with either application. Soon after fall break, we will connect with those interested to match with needs across our building. If you have trade skills or other experiences that might enhance learning opportunities for our students, we need you!
If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact our school office at 859-381-3967. Thank you for being a valued part of our Winburn Middle School community, and we look forward to a fantastic school year ahead!
