Day Seventeen Science Challenge: Leaf Rubbings and Identification

• • Go outside and collect at least three different types of leaves.

  • Use either crayons or the side of a pencil/colored pencil to create a rubbing by laying the leaf under the paper and coloring over the texture of the leaf until it is revealed on the paper.

  • Use a print or digital resources, like Tree ID from UK Department of Forestry, to identify the tree/leaves that you found.
