Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education in public and private schools through grade 12. FCCLA offers intra-curricular resources and opportunities for students to pursue careers that support families. Since 1945, FCCLA members have been making a difference in their families, careers, and communities by addressing important personal, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
At Beaumont, any student can join FCCLA. Students are encouraged to be in Mrs. Sullinger’s FCS Essentials class if possible. Students are expected to be good peer role models during the school day and have an interest in community service and leadership.
When does Beaumont FCCLA Meet? We meet twice a month, on the second and fourth Friday of each month on Friday at 8:00 AM in room 607 (Mrs. Sullinger’s room). The leadership team will meet on the first and third Friday of the month at 8:00 AM to plan meetings, community service projects and chapter events. Any student is welcome to join the leadership team. Other days before or after school will be added if a member pursues competing and/or leadership roles.
Cost: $25. This includes a t-shirt, affiliate for chapter, region, state and national membership. Other fees are required for participation in field trips, competitions and conferences.
Community Service: Our chapter will be completing projects for the 2025-2026 school year to support: The Ronald McDonald House, DanceBlue and God’s Pantry. Other projects can be added with student interest and support.
