Maimuna's Bio

Maimuna Akter is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor of Finance at Gonzaga University. She has received her PhD in Finance from Florida Atlantic University in 2023. Her research interest is in the areas of corporate finance, exogenous shocks in finance, corporate culture, common ownership, market manipulation, and corporate diversity, among others. 

Maimuna has taught Principles of Financial Management, Advanced Managerial Finance, International Finance, Intermediate Finance, and Financial Institutions. Before starting her PhD, she also taught Business Mathematics, Treasury Management, Principles of Accounting, and Actuarial Science as an Assistant Professor at University of Dhaka for three years.
