The Scholarship List will provide you with eligibility criteria and deadline dates. Scholarships are listed in order of their due date. As scholarships become available during the year we will post them here. Please click on the "Scholarship List" for all scholarships.
Scholarship applications need to be turned in to the counseling office by the due date listed. This allows us time to review your applications and contact you if we find any errors or missing documents before the scholarship packet is submitted.
Scholarship Application Record Sheet (Created by Mrs. Heckemeyer)
Please use the Scholarship Application Record Sheet as a reference and tracking guide for scholarships you plan to apply for. It will also help you keep a clear "to do" list of required materials and deadlines for each scholarship.
*Pay close attention to the deadlines of scholarships!
*Be sure to read the requirements carefully to make sure you have completed every step!
*Remember to check the websites of colleges you are considering for their institutional scholarships. Some of these may be automatic (You are considered once you submit an application to the college.), but others may not.
1. Start early and monitor deadlines! Check back often to apply for the newest opportunities.
2. Ask businesses, community groups, schools, and religious and civic organizations in your local community about scholarship opportunities.
3. Remember to never pay for scholarship applications.
4. Keep looking! The more you search, the greater your chances of finding additional programs.
5. Be cautious of scams. For more information on how to avoid scams, go to https://studentsaid.ed.gov/sa/types/scams.
6. Read the fine print carefully. Ensure that you are eligible for a scholarship opportunity before applying.
7. Keep copies of paper applications.
8. Proofread your applications! Proper spelling and grammar are important.
9. If references are required, ask early and follow-up on getting those references!
