Here is a presentation of the work done by the students during Distance Learning. Below you will find descriptions of each project and up top you will find links to each group's work. Enjoy!

Maternelle and CP/CE1 - Virtual Chorus

We used songs we learned earlier in the year in Maternelle and Cycle 2 to make virtual chorus videos.

CE2/CM1 - Found Sound

In Cycle 3, we explored the idea of Found Sound. The students chose from the various objects they had around and made recordings of them. The sound recordings were then made into cleaner samples and each student had their sounds loaded onto a sequencer. They then used the sequencer to compose their own short pieces using found sounds.

5th and 6th - Sound Collage

In 5th and 6th Grade, we used the Song Maker in Chrome Musiclab to create a collage with sounds. The students were given parameters in which to create their pieces so that when the pieces were "glued" together they would have a flow to them.

7th and 8th - Ambient Tracks

In 7th and 8th Grade, the students created short pieces of ambient music using Bandlab and in some instances other software/instruments. The had 4 basic requirements which included having a drone in the piece, having two melodic synthesizer lines, including a sample they made, and making the piece last about a minute long.
