Photography is designed to encourage you to develop your creativity and self expression. You will explore the world of visual images through a variety of exciting and stimulating photography projects based on using lens based equipment in a creative manner.
The course makes you think about visual communication and how imagery is used to communicate an idea or viewpoint of an individual. Investigations into contemporary artists' work and practical experiments help develop your own understanding of the creative process used in photography.
Preparing you for a career within industry is our focus, to be able to understand and use a camera proficiently is essential. You will also be learning how to use professional studio lighting equipment and image manipulation software, to enable you to make an informed choice about progressing into the photographic industry. Our darkroom facilities will also stretch you in thinking about and making images through chemical processes.
