Entry to the course is open to all trainees who have a valid Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) and has proof of approved seagoing service, for a period of at least twelve (12) months in total during the preceding five (5) years, or three (3) months in total during the preceding six (6) months immediately prior to revalidating.
They must be medically fit to enable them to participate in all aspects of the training particularly the practical exercises.
The number of trainees shall not exceed twenty-four (24) per class.
