Entry to the course is open to all trainees who have completed the Safety Training for Personnel Providing Direct Service to Passengers in Passenger Spaces (STP).
They must be medically fit to participate in all aspects of the training particularly the practical exercises.

Contribute to the implementation of shipboard emergency plans and procedures to muster and evacuate passengers
Shipboard emergency plans, instructions and procedures in management and evacuation of passengers
Muster lists and emergency instructions
Crowd management techniques and relevant equipment used to assist passengers in an emergency situation
Assist passengers en route to muster and embarkation stations
Giving clear reassuring order
Managing passengers in corridors, staircases and passageways
Maintaining escape routes clear of obstructions
Methods available for evacuation of persons with disability and persons needing special assistance
Methods of searching passengers accommodation and public spaces
Effective mustering procedures
Disembarking passengers, passengers with disability and persons requiring special attention
