Fannin County School System Virtual Learning Day Expectations
New this year, two Student Virtual Learning Days are scheduled on the Fannin County School System calendar.
Scheduled Student Virtual Learning Days allow Fannin students to continue learning even when Fannin teachers are expected to participate in professional development.
Students will work from home on teacher-created assignments. Student Virtual Learning Days will not include live, face-to-face instruction.
Student Virtual Learning Days for the 2025-2026 school year:

Elementary Expectations:
Teachers will provide assignments designed to reinforce and extend previously taught standards and learning targets. The assignments will be sent home prior to the Virtual Learning Day.
Assignments will be due no later than three days after returning.
Middle School Expectations:
Teachers will provide assignments designed to reinforce and extend previously taught standards and learning targets. The assignments will be sent home prior to the Virtual Learning Day.
Assignments will be due no later than three days after returning.
High School Expectations:
Teachers will provide assignments designed to reinforce and extend previously taught standards and learning targets.
Teachers will assign virtual day tasks on the Monday prior to the virtual day, so students have time to ask questions before the virtual day.
Assignments will be due no later than three days after returning.

Inclement Weather or Emergency Virtual Learning Days for the 2025-2026 school year will be communicated as needed for staff and students.
Elementary Expectations:
Teachers will be available to assist students and answer questions throughout the day.
Assignments will be due no later than three days after returning.
PK - 2nd Grade assignments will be choice boards, which will be sent home as needed, and can be found here.
3rd - 5th Grade assignments will be posted to Google Classroom by a set time on the announced inclement weather or emergency virtual learning day.

Teachers will post assignments in the Google Classroom designed to reinforce and extend previously taught standards and learning targets by a set time on the announced inclement weather or emergency virtual learning day. Teachers will be available to assist students and answer questions throughout the day. Students should check each teacher's Google Classroom for their assignments and any scheduled Google Meet sessions.

High School Expectations:
Teachers will post assignments by a set time on the announced inclement weather or emergency virtual learning day.
